Very nice material, university sells similar products with poor quality. This one is awesome

Quite good for the price for only occasional use

Had an unhappy experience trying to buy a robe elsewhere. This robe is exactly the same, and $15 cheaper, delivered on time. The robe is of fair to good quality. If you are academic admin or likely to wear regalia more regularly, you might want something in heavier material and more fitted. But for faculty who need it once a year (if that), it's more than adequate. The tam isn't quite as nice, however, and the reason for only 4 stars. If you have a larger noggin, it might be too small, even at the widest adjustment. Still, for the price, it's perfectly fine.

Very disappointed

This tam and gown would make a good Halloween costume but not for professional use. The overall fabric is thin and flimsy and the velvet looks and feels more like crafting felt than anything else.

Great deal for the cost

Good for the price but is super wide - I��m taking it to get tailored to me. I��m 5 ft tall and got size 45 so I wish there would have been a narrow option, but for the price it��s great since I didn��t want to spend hundreds of dollars! And it��s very similar to much more expensive ones - the material and color are perfect for PhD.
